Of course, you are then ready to follow up with, “Sounds like you’ve got some people that are difficult to buy for?” and follow the process outlined in the 10 November posting).
The whole objective of this approach is to get more than your fair share of the business in the lead up to Christmas when you do have time to talk to your customers. You know that in the final week before Christmas you are likely to be swamped with more customers than you normally see in six months (or at least it often seems like it). So, make the most of your opportunities by initiating Christmas conversations now.
